I've read the article of Mr. James Soriano about "tagalog language". I have a great respect to journalist because they equip us with knowledge, but sometimes I cannot help but oppose to what have been written. They said that if you can speak ENGLISH language then you can speak to the world, yes it's true because we will be able to communicate with different people from different nation but is it a great opportunity for us to speak our native language? TAGALOG. As i remember from what my Filipino teacher said way back in school days, it came from the word TAGA-ILOG. It's such an honor for me to speak tagalog since I am a Filipino. We use "po" and "opo", which i think the english language don't have. they call their older siblings with their first names while WE call them as ATE and KUYA, DITSE, DIKO, and so on. It's just so unfortunate because he also said that HE only use tagalog when speaking to katulong or manong which I think is not acceptable. What's wrong with speaking tagalog? nothing, but instead we have to be proud that we have our OWN language and not a borrowed from others. I was raised in Pampanga, proud Kapampangan, proud Filipino, I speak 3 languages, kapampangan, TAGALOG and english. I wrote my opinion in english language to let others know that I'm well versed in English but i was not pressured by my parents or whoever to speak english when i was young. I learned it through reading, listening and talking to others, still, TAGALOG will always be my LANGUAGE.

Guidelines for Successful and Wise Year..

Found this in a blog from a celebrity, I just edited some details that i think fits me for who I am and what I am. I thought its kinda refreshing to know that LIFE is simple and easy, we only make it difficult by putting stress, grapevine, and ect to it. We should learn how to deal with it as smooth as possible, live like as if we are the king and queen of England. LIFE is life, deal with it and live with it.




Guidelines for a successful and wise 2011

Health:
01. Drink plenty of water.
02. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper
03. Live with the 3 E’s: Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
04. Make time to pray.
05. Play more games.
06. Read more books than you did in 2010.
07. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
08. Sleep for 7 hours each day.
09. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile. 

Personality:
10. Know your limits.
11. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
13. Dream more while you are awake.
14. Envy is a waste of time; you already have all you need.
15. Forget issues of the past don’t remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
16. Life is too short to waste time hating others.
17. Make peace with your past and accept your mistakes.

random thoughts ♥♥♥

Ok, so it's been a while since since the last time i updated my blog, i did some errands that kept me busy for the past weeks, and now while i'm waiting for the hearing to end i have a free time so its the best time for me to blog.


So school time again for the students and mothers. two of my nieces entered school, Krissy is in her first grade and Kate is in kindergarten. When I was studying I always say that I want to finish school and have a job, but now that I job I tell myself that student life is much more great than working. my parents and aunts supported me when i was studying. all I have to do is to review, review, review and pass the exam, although my finance is limited, still I can mingle with my friends and we can eat to whatever food we want, we have luxurious time to spend to each other. The perks of being a student is incomparable to my life now as a working girl.


What I miss being a student:


1. friends

The never ending chitchats despite being together everyday still the box of talks is always full, it never got empty even once. 


2. hospital duty 


Honesty,I like attending my hospital duty than being confined in our classroom and listen to our clinical instructor. I like it when I tend patients who are desperately in need of care, because the hospital's staff nurses cannot give a one on one care due to lack of personnel so, we students are there to fill them. It's like my heart is tickled by a feather when they utter a simple thank you to me, that only reflects how grateful they are with me (student nurse)being around, they are given much attention and care that they really need. It's so fulfilling knowing that at the end of the day I have done my job pretty well.


3. clinical conference


In the school where I graduated, we have the so called "CLINICAL CONFERENCE",it's like we are having comprehensive study about a certain disease from  pathophysiology, ethiology, anatomy and so on, and we will present it front of the whole batch and bunch of clinical instructors. We spend sleepless nights researching, studying, making video presentations and many more, tiring but fun. These are the times where we go to our classmate's house and do the things that we have to accomplish and mixed it with laughters, foods and chats, and when the nerve rocking day of presentation comes, all of us only expects and aims for a positive result.


Being a student is one of the most memorable thing a person can cherish in life. Don't rush yourself to get a job, enjoy every moment of it. Love can go as the aftermath, we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to finish it so don't waste time, have fun with it, play with it, treat is a gem and finish it, as they say, it's the only thing that cannot be stolen from us. hope you enjoy your life being a student.

krissy..

this blog is all about my dear Krissy. Her real name is Krissy Marithe Buco Garcia but called by many as "Kutil" because of the kutil  near her ear on the left side. As I remember, Krissy came from the name of a Starstruck Alumna "Krissy Jarenio" and Marithe came from the famous brand of jeans, wallet, bags and so on.She is the first born daughter of my sister, she's also the first "apo" of my parents. My sister is still in her teenage years when she gave birth to Krissy, so she was raised with the help of my mother. Many would say that she and her mama were like sisters and not mother and daughter.

it's like yesterday since she was just an infant being cuddled by my ate in her arms and sleeping in the "duyan" but  now she's a pre-schooler and about to graduate by the end of this month. And without noticing, years from now she will be taller than me. TODAY is her 6th birthday. no grandiose celebration or party, a treat to the mall with her mama and Maggie (her sister) is their way to celebrate the occasion. "kampay til!!!"

I love being an aunt to them. I have 4 makukulit, malilikot and masiyahing nieces. they all call me ATE. Krissy being the eldest, she looks at them when they play. when I come to home to Pampanga at least once a month, because i'm currently working in Ortigas, but whenever I go home even I'm still in the tricycle I would hear them cheer "Ate byuth! Ate Byuth!" and it excites me and i know this is my HOME, because of the kids. Krissy, the big toothed birthday girl will make kwento to me about all the things she has learned in school, her classmates, the program they had, the songs they sang, the games they play and all of the things that the little girls do. I can see her giggle whenever she make kwento and how her eyes sparkle. I love Krissy and the 3 other girls so much, they are the reason why I keep on striving, with their hugs and kisses to me, all of the pagod and hirap fades abruptly. I love to hear their laugthers and the way they call me "Ate Byuth".

happy happy birthday Sy. You'll always be the "darling" of the family. congratulations on your graduation and good luck in you elementary school. stay sweet and keeping smiling. love you so much!!!!

a newbie..

hi there, i'm Claire Lou Buco, a newbie in this site. I'm a registered nurse but because of the current situation in the nursing field, i preferred to work (in an arbitration center in the Philippines) first before entering the real and chaotic world of nursing. I'm 22 years old kapampangan but is currently residing in Pasig City.
